About a couple of centuries ago, there weren't many huge traders or companies or rather brands that shipped out across boundaries. In such a time, there was little to no importance given to the employees except those regular payment and holidays were scarce. There was a time when employees were rather treated badly and had no significance to the small local traders, even the big ones they weren't really taking care of their workers.


Then the world saw industrialization, the companies started extending their businesses overseas and across lands. As the trades grew the owners started realising that for these huge lion sized trades to work smoothly the employees had to be happy and want to work. They no longer could be treated as slaves because they could always switch firms in the growing times. This is when the idea of employee recognition programs was introduced to the corporate world. These programs were meant to appreciate the efforts of employees and build the motivation to perform better every day; in them.


It is still carried out and happens on a monthly, quarterly or yearly basis depending on the firm. One of the employee is chosen for their 'excellent' performance and is rewarded, the rest are motivated to perform better than them. Now, the HR department; as hard as it tries cannot keep up with the likes of all employees and most often than not, the gift prize that is chosen for the appreciated employee doesn't suit their likes and gets wasted or collects dust on some old shelve in their house. HR of huge firms do not have time to selectively get gifts for their employees and hence they get mainstream gifts like merchandise, watches, gift cards etc.

 Universal Recognition Token of urtoken is a platform that has come up with a blockchain based solution to this problem of the firms not being able to properly appreciate their employees. Since one of the main issues with employees is that they cannot really have what they want as an appreciation gift, the platform gives them an outlet to be get it. Instead of sitting on a shelf and being wasted or instead of being an intervened Gift Card these gifts can be auctioned and be actually useful to the employee; this solving their problem.
The companies can look at the charts of the most wanted gifts and the least wanted ones and then get them for their employees this making them happy.

 In conclusion we can say that this is a great initiative not just for the benefit of the employees bit it also helps support the agenda of employee recognition program and helps it make more personalized and successful. The employee can actually feel happy while the global moto of industrialization where 'a company will be effective and run smoothly only when the employees are happy' gets supported.
